Almost it!
Karen was so excited - she found a picture of our first Christmas in Grass Valley. I was so excited - I didn't know it existed. I quickly made a copy of it and then figured out how to add it to Picasso so I could send this blog. In the meantime I looked at the picture more carefully - we already had wondered why the sombrero was missing from the snowman's head. Then I started wondering about the firetruck, and then the drapes and then the hardware drawers - and common sense then prevailed. So, this picture was taken after 1981 and probably Rich and Allyn made the snowman - the firetruck was Brian's. And, it certainly brought back memories of our first Christmas in Grass Valley. I have absolutely no memory of "snowman the second".

Gavin's Lizard
As you can see it is quite an exciting event. He even came to get me so I could see this wonderful creature. How nice that I can still get down on the floor and up again! His arm - remaining pieces of sticker things from a movie on July 4th - rather determined stickers. The scalp type haircut - curtesy of his Dad.

another macro try
I tried - still not happy with the results but at least I have learned that my camera can be set for macro. For as ancient as it is, it is rather amazing - like it can be set for up to four megapixels - WOW! And Loren convinced me year ago to set it for one or two megapixels and I do not know how to chage it back to four.

I debated about posting this part of my "home" but since I am slowly exposing my entire household - well, this wall is at the end of my bed and next to the closet door. Shellie said something to the effect that I should have a candle burning on the table but that is not the way I see it. I see it as keeping Russ a part of my life. It seems quite logical to me - adding the polyhydralia" to the group was such fun. (My thanks to Gay for posting that picture earlier this week.) Anyhow, it is "my home" and I decorate it as I wish.

Whoops!
I did it again - got detached from my blog and cannot find my way back!
Anyhow, obviously I follow Rich's orders. I tackled this puzzle a week or so ago - it outgrew my "puzzle board" so I had to wait for my old cardtable to be available - which happened Monday evening - so Tuesday I proceded to move all that was done to the cardtable. That is quite an accomplishment. And worked ever so hard to complete the puzzle. What an exciting life I lead.

My bed!
I took a picture of my ceiling from my bed - now it is time to present my bed. The quilt is probably ten or fifteen years old. The pictures - well the one of the goose girl I bought when thrift store touring with Karen. I have always liked that particular picture. Which reminds me - we had goose for Thanksgiving once. My Mother even saved the immense amount of goose fat - it supposedly was very healthy. The other picture goes way back - a Christmas present from Karen - two red headed kids - Brian and Jennifer by name. It hung over my bed on Highland, and on Laurel Lane and here, as you can see.

View from my chair
The ever sagging tv shelves - cardinals merrily singing atop with the cat with the fish hovering over them. To the right my CD's and two books I am planning to read. Below them my sewing basket and "tool"box - formerly the cover of a box of peanut brittle. Reddish storage baskets on either side with the DVD player and a drawer between them. The door to the right is my closet and unseen to the left is my front door. I suppose that some day the whole thing will collapse. Oh, yes - I happened to be watching tennis - but no Rafael Nadal today, Rich.

Me ready to head for the hospital
My very first day as a non-pink lady (ala Grass Velley) but a blue green lady til I "graduate" and then I will be a bright fuchsia.
It appears that I am a shining star already. Note picture behind the faucets - it has been my inspiration since Highland Drive days - "There's A Lot To Be Said In Favor Of Procrastination" - and I recommend it to every one but Greg who doesn't have time to procrastinate.
Note politically correct grocery bags hanging on my front door knob - they usually remain there when I go grocery shopping. Perhaps I should keep them on the floor in front of the door.

The boys
Once again I could not find the way to publish comments with my post. Anyhow, as you can see, the boys went out to capture some bugs - Terry expecially well equiped. Somehow, the bow and arrow was too much - I had to record it for all to see.

The pictures below
I managed to get three pictures posted but could not figure out how to add further descriptions. Actually most do not need a description. The supposed labeled "Big Splash" is Terry having a grat time leaping into the pool. The other two need no explanation other than to point out that the cake had the candles that refuse to give up - those candles had Terry quite bewildered. \An amazing aside - Terry had both of his great grandmothers at the party. As for me, having a seven years old great grandson is quite wonderful.
